Students in STEM have been working the past few weeks on team building and communication skills. They have had to work as a team to complete challenges such as the Longest Paper Chain using on only one piece of paper, one piece of tape, one pair of scissors; Stack a Cup which consisted of stacking six plastic cups in a pyramid using ONLY a rubberband and string; and finally how to build a Marshmallow Catapult out of Legos. Each tasks had time constraints added to them. While the tasks were a little challenging for some groups and easy for others they all had fun and quickly found out that working together makes the challenges easier to accomplish.
