Our 6th grade STEM elective class got Super Bowl ready this week. Each team had to design a field goal post that would stand on its own using only 8 plastic straws, 5 pipe cleaners, and scissors. The teams had to plan, sketch, and build their designs.
Once their designs were completed they competed to see who could get the most kicks through the field goal using paper footballs. Three teams advanced to the AFC Championships (The Gang, The Dolphins, and the The Eagles). The two teams that advanced to the Super Bowl were The Gang and the Dolphins. Today we can officially say The Gang won the Super Bowl!
