Our 4th grade Sharks had an incredible day stepping back in time at the “Occupation of Palatka Civil War Living History” event! Students experienced firsthand what life was like during the Civil War, learning through reenactments, artifacts, and stories that brought history to life.
A huge thank you to the organizers and volunteers who made this educational opportunity possible. Our students walked away with a deeper understanding of the past and plenty of memories to share! 💙🦈

🌟 October is National Principals Month! 🌟

In Putnam County, our principals do more than manage schools — they inspire futures. They guide teachers, encourage students, partner with families, and bring communities together so learning can thrive. Their leadership makes a lasting impact on every classroom and every child.

This month, and every month, we celebrate our PCSD principals for leading with heart, vision, and dedication. Thank you for helping us shape tomorrow, today. 💙💚

Attendance Matters: FTE Week is October 6–10!

Every student counts–literally! During FTE Week, the state of Florida calculates school funding based on student attendance. If a student is absent, they are not included in the count, and our schools lose vital funding for teachers, programs, and services.

Make sure your child is in school every day October 6–10! Together, we can give PCSD students the resources they need to succeed.

The Dot is a 2003 children's picture book written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds. It illustrates the power of one single adult's actions to change a child's life. The book speaks to the importance of teacher-student relationships, and our connections as human beings. It shows how creative thinking on the part of a teacher can unlock a child's own creativity, confidence, and growth.

Today, our students at 21st Century participated in the International Dot Day as they unlocked their own creativity, promoting resiliency and inspiration to their peers. They created their own dot to share how we are all different, and we should be kind, encouraging, and respectful to one another.
